Now, therefore, I, the said John Larkins Cheese Richardson, by virtue of the powers delegated to me as aforesaid, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation, and declare all the powers and authorities of the said Board to have ceased and terminated.

A PROCLAMATION
Extending the Rules and Regulations of the Otago Gold Fields to Gabriel’s District, at Tuapeka.
By his Honor John Larkins Cheese Richardson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS, by warrant under the hand of his Excellency Thomas Gore Browne, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand, dated at Auckland the eighth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one, and issued under the seal of the said Colony, the said Thomas Gore Browne, as Governor aforesaid, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in exercise of the power and authority for that purpose in him vested, did delegate absolutely and without restriction unto me, John Larkins Cheese Richardson, as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, all the powers vested in him under or by virtue of the “Gold-fields Act, 1858,” except the powers contained in sections seven, eight, fifteen, twenty-seven, and forty of the said Act, to have, hold, and exercise the powers within the Province of Otago thereby given.
And whereas, on the twenty-seventh day of June, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, I, the said John Larkins Cheese Richardson, by virtue of the powers so delegated to me as aforesaid, issued certain Rules and Regulations of the Otago Gold-fields; and whereas, on the twenty-first day of July in the said year, I issued additional Rules and Regulations of the said Gold Fields; and whereas, on the tenth day of October in the said year I issued further additional Rules and Regulations of the said Gold Fields;
And whereas the aforesaid Rules and Regulations have been and now are in force throughout the Gold Fields of the said Province, excepting only in so far as relates to that portion of the Gold Fields included within Gabriel’s District, at Tuapeka; and whereas it is expedient to extend and apply the aforesaid Rules and Regulations to the said District,
Now therefore, I, the said John Larkins Cheese Richardson, do hereby cancel all Rules and Regulations heretofore in force within the said District, and do substitute in lieu thereof all the Rules and Regulations issued on the twenty-seventh day of June, the twenty-first day of July, and the tenth day of October aforesaid; and I do proclaim and appoint that the same shall be in force, and take effect therein from the date of this Proclamation.

MEETING OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
PROCLAMATION.
By John Larkins Cheese Richardson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, New Zealand.
In pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim that the Sixteenth Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago aforesaid, shall be holden within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, or in such other place within Dunedin aforesaid as shall be intimated in a future Proclamation, and shall commence upon Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of November, 1862, at Twelve o’clock noon; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at such time and place accordingly.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
