PROCLAMATION,
Extending to the Town of Port Chalmers the “Dunedin Roads and Streets Ordinance, 1861.”
By the Honorable JOHN HYDE HARRIS, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the “Dunedin Roads and Streets Ordinance, 1861,” it is enacted that the said Ordinance may be put in force in any other Town in the Province of Otago, by Proclamation of the Superintendent, published in the Provincial Government Gazette: And whereas it is expedient that the said Ordinance should be extended to the Town of Port Chalmers: Now, therefore, I, the Deputy-Superintendent of the said Province, in virtue of the powers vested in me, do hereby proclaim that the aforesaid Ordinance shall be in force within the said Town of Port Chalmers, from and after the date hereof.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, the nineteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

WINE AND BEER LICENSES AND BOTTLE LICENSES.
AS all these Licenses presently in force expire upon the 30th day of September next, Notice is HEREBY GIVEN, that a Special Meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Office, on Tuesday, the twenty-third day of the said month of September, at 10 o’clock a.m., to consider applications for the renewal of any of the aforesaid Licenses. Applications for renewal must be lodged at the Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin, on or before Friday, the 19th day of September.

POMAHAKA DISTRICT,
BLOCKS 1, 2, AND 3.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Blocks 1, 2, and 3, of the Pomahaka District, will be open for Application on MONDAY, the 15th day of September, and the Applications decided on THURSDAY, the 25th day of September, 1862.
The land comprised within these three Blocks is situate between the Pomahaka and the Clutha, and is about 20 miles north from the Clutha Ferry. There is a good supply of Bush on the wooded islands of the Clutha, which are in the immediate neighbourhood. There are about 13,000 acres in the three Blocks.
