NOTICE TO MARINERS.

INNER BAR, OTAGO HARBOUR, N.Z.

THE Channel across the Inner Bar being of a shifting nature, a sand bank is forming in mid-channel, and on such there is at present only a depth of (9½) nine and a-half feet at low water, spring tides; the channel on either side of the bank, although considerably narrowed, has still the usual depth of (17½) seventeen and a-half feet at low water. A chequered buoy has been moored upon the bank to show its position.

The channel is gradually shifting towards the sand spit, and will shortly present the usual width.
