I HEREBY CERTIFY that JOHN CROOKS JONES, of Port Chalmers, has this day proved to my satisfaction that he is duly qualified to practise as a Surgeon and Apothecary, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session I., No. 2, of 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to Define the Qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners.”
Dated at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Port Chalmers, this 10th day of June, 1862.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that JAMES SHIRLAW, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, has this day submitted for my examination his Diploma from the University of Glasgow, creating him a Doctor of Medicine, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session I., No. 2, 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to Define the Qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners.”

NOTICE is hereby given, that in future no payments whatever will be made unless the expense is previously sanctioned by the Superintendent. Forms of requisition, which must be forwarded in duplicate, may be had at this Office.
Should a case of urgent necessity arise, requiring a small expenditure before getting authority, such case must be fully and forthwith reported.
