Now therefore I, George Grey, the Governor aforesaid, in exercise of the Power in this behalf vested by the said recited Act, do hereby Proclaim and Declare as follows:—
There shall be within the Province of Otago in the said Colony the several Hundreds, bounded by the limits and known by the names or designations hereunder written; that is to say,
Waitahuna Hundred.
Comprises all that area estimated to contain 89,040 acres, bounded to the North East by a straight line drawn from Hill End to the junction of the scrub burn with the Clutha, to the South East by North Tokomairiro Hundred, and to the South and West by the Clutha River.
Pomahaka Hundred.
Comprises all that area estimated to contain 46,080 acres, bounded on the North East by Black Cleugh burn and the Clutha River, on the East by the West Clutha Hundred, on the South by the Pomahaka River, and on the West by the Rankle burn and Mount Valpy summits.
Popotuna Hundred.
Comprises all that area estimated to contain 60,160 acres, bounded on the North by the Pomahaka River, on the East by West Clutha Hundred, on the South by the Kaihiku, Waiwero, Kuriwau, and Wairuna Ranges, and on the West by the Wairuna Creek.
And I do also proclaim and declare that the first day of January next shall be the day from and after which any Licences issued under the Otago Land Regulations at present in force, shall cease and determine as to so much of the land comprised therein as may be included within the boundaries of the Hundreds herein-described respectively.
Given under my hand, at the Government House, at Auckland, and issued under the Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, this 7th day of December, in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.

“Appropriation Ordinance, 1861, (No. 2),”

“Trigonometrical Station Ordinance, 1861,”
“Sheep Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1861,”
“An Ordinance to prevent the increase of the American Blight,”
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to leave the same to their operation.

which Bill was reserved for the signification of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to assent to the same.
