NORTH-EAST VALLEY ROAD.
GOVERNMENT NOTICE.
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the Roads Ordinance, 1861, that I, JOHN LARKINS CHEESE RICHARDSON, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, have deemed it expedient to make a new Road through North-East Valley District, with the following Sections, viz:—

And that I have caused a Map and Survey Plan thereof, describing the exact course and bearings and the admeasurements required for the same, together with an Estimate of the expense of the work, and the compensation (if any) proposed to be paid to the owners or occupiers of such lands respectively, to be deposited in the Office of the Provincial Engineer at Dunedin; And I hereby call upon all persons affected, to set forth in writing, addressed to me within thirty days from the first publication of this Notice, any well-grounded Objections they may have to the work, or any Claims they may have in respect thereof: And I fix Monday, the eighteenth day of November next, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office at Dunedin, for any person to be affected by such proposed work, and who shall have set forth in writing his objections or claims as aforesaid, to appear before me and my Executive Council, and shall be heard in support of the same.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that JAMES MARSHALL THOMAS, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, has this day submitted for my examination his DIPLOMA from the University of Glasgow, creating him a master of Surgery, and Midwifery, and Pharmacy, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session 1, No. 2, of 1849, intituled "An Ordinance to define the qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners."
Dated at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Dunedin, the eleventh day of October, 1861.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that JOHN M'OWAN, of Dunedin, has this day submitted for my examination proof of his qualification to practice in Surgery and Pharmacy, and that he has obtained the Diploma of Licentiate of the "Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh," pursuant to an Ordinance of the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session 1, No. 2, of 1849, intituled "An Ordinance to define the qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners."
