HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that

WILLIAM LOGIE, Esquire,
the Sheep Inspector,
will visit the Southern Districts in the course of the ensuing week, in order to grant clean certificates to enable persons desirous of so doing to drive Sheep to the Diggings, for the purposes of Slaughter.

NOTICE.

MAIL TO THE TUAPEKA DIGGINGS.

ARRANGEMENTS are now in process, by which, if completed in time, a Mail will be dispatched to the Tuapeka, along with the other Mails for the South, on MONDAY at noon, and will, if necessary, be continued weekly.

It is recommended that, in order to save trouble, Letters may be Stamped or Pre-Paid.

has been duly elected.

THE following Act passed by the General Assembly of New Zealand, in the Session held in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituledβ€”

"An Act for preventing desertion and other "misconduct of Seamen belonging to "Foreign Ships,"

having been laid before the Queen, in conformity with the provisions of the "Constitution Act," Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to leave the same to its operation.
