for the reason aforesaid, or for any other cause whatever, the said Frederic Greer shall not be entitled to claim, and shall not be paid any subsidy whatever in respect of the period during which the said vessel shall fail to run and ply as aforesaid; provided that if the said vessel be debarred by the state of the weather from prosecuting her voyage, or approaching any of the said ports on the coast, being otherwise in readiness for the work, the time so lost shall be counted as occupied in the business of the contract : And lastly, that each of the said parties hereto doth hereby bind and oblige himself to the other of them for the due performance of the covenants and agreements hereinbefore expressed and contained, in the penalty of Three hundred pounds sterling, to be paid by the party failing to perform to the party performing or willing to perform the same. In witness whereof, the said parties hereto have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

DUNEDIN to the TAIERI or back—
Freight on Goods, 30s. per ton of 20 cwt., or 40 feet
Wool, 10s. per bale (under 3½ cwt.). All bales over 3½ cwt. gross, to count as 1½ bales
Passage—Cabin, £1 10s. ; Steerage, 15s. Including provisions, excepting Wines, Spirits, and Beer

Do. to the CLUTHA or back, and to WAIKAWA or back—
Freight on Goods, 50s. per ton, as above
Wool, 17s. 6d. per bale, as above
Passage—Cabin, £5 5s. ; Steerage, £2, as above

Do. to the MATAURA or back—
Freight on Goods, 60s. per ton, as above
Wool, 20s. per bale, as above
Passage—Cabin, £5 5s. ; Steerage, £3 10s., as above

Do. to the BLUFF, INVERCARGILL, or JACOB'S RIVER, or back—
Freight on Goods, 40s. per ton, as above
Wool, 15s. per bale, as above
Passage—Cabin, £5 5s. ; Steerage, £3 10s., as above
