Dunedin, 15th July, 1859.—We, two of the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the Board of Audit Ordinance, Session II., No. 2, having examined the Provincial Treasurer’s accounts for the Quarter ended 30th June last, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts for the Quarter (including the Balance of £15,370 12s. 8d. in the Treasurer’s hands at the close of last Quarter) amount to £29,245 12s. 2d.; and the Expenditure amounts to £10,492 5s. 7d., showing a Balance in the hands of the Treasurer of £18,753 6s. 7d. The advances made by way of Loan to the Jetty Committee and Town Board are not included in this Balance.
