Dunedin, 16th April 1859.—We, two of the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the Board of Audit Ordinances, Session II., No. 2, having examined the Provincial Treasurer’s Accounts for the Quarter ending 31st March 1859, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts for the Quarter amounted to £23,261 11s. 2d. (including the Balance of £7074 14s. 11d. in hand at the commencement of the Quarter); and the Expenditure amounted to £7890 18s. 6d., showing a Balance in the hands of the Treasurer of £15,370 12s. 8d.

Note.—The sum of £848 4s. 4d., received from Immigrants, being now transferred to the Immigration Fund Account, the above Balance of £15,370 12s. 8d. is thereby reduced to £14,522 8s. 4d.
