Dunedin, 18th January 1869.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of
the "Board of Audit Ordinance," Session II., No. 2, having examined the
Provincial Treasurer's Accounts for the Quarter ending 31st December
1868, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly
vouched; that the Receipts for the Quarter amounted to £17,784 19s. 10d.,
(including the Balance of £6491 15s. 4d. in hand at the commencement
of the Quarter); and the Expenditure amounted to £10,710 4s. 11d.—showing a
Balance in the hands of the Treasurer of £7074 14s. 11d.
