Dunedin, 26th October 1858.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the “Board of Audit Ordinance,” Session II., No. 2, having examined the Accounts of the Provincial Treasurer, for the Year ending 30th September 1858, and that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, (except as appears by the accompanying Note*), and properly vouched; that the Receipts amounted to £41,615 : 2s : 0d, (including the Balance in the hands of the Treasurer from last year), and the Expenditure to £35,123 : 6s : 8d, and that there then remained in his hands a Balance of £6491 : 15s : 4d.
