Dunedin, 19th April 1858.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the “Board of Audit Ordinance,” Session II., No. 2, having examined the Accounts of the Provincial Treasurer, for the Quarter ending 31st March 1858, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts for the Quarter amounted to £7,561, 19s. 4d., and the Expenditure to £12,505, 8s. 11d., (including the Balance due the Treasurer at the end of last Quarter,) showing a Balance due to the Union Bank of Australia of £4,545, and to the Treasurer of £398, 9s. 7d.
