TOWN BOARD OF DUNEDIN.

ELECTION OF FOUR MEMBERS.

In pursuance of "the Dunedin Town Board Ordinance," Sess. II., No. 12, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint the Electors entitled to vote for Members for the Town of Dunedin in the Provincial Council of Otago, to assemble upon MONDAY, the 30th day of November, 1857, at twelve o'clock noon, within the Provincial Council Hall, Princes Street, Dunedin, for the purpose of electing Five Members in the room ofβ€”

Messrs. James Kilgour,
Alexander Rennie,
John Hyde Harris,
David John Napier,
George Duncan,

who go out of office on the first Wednesday in the month of December, 1857; and further, in pursuance of the said Ordinance, I hereby appoint John Gillies, Esquire, R.M., Dunedin, to preside at said Meeting; and in the event of a Poll being demanded, I hereby appoint the Polling to take place in the said Hall on Tuesday, the 1st day of December, 1857.

to be Treasurer of the Waste Land Board of the Province of Otago, and to receive all monies arising from the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of Crown Lands in said Province, provisionally, until other provisions be made by law in that behalf.

John M'Glashan, Esq.,
to be ad interim Chief Commissioner and Treasurer of the Waste Land Board, and to receive all monies arising from the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of Crown Lands in the Province of Otago, until other arrangements be made. The appointment to date from the 15th October current.
