Dunedin, 23rd October, 1857.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the “Board of Audit Ordinance,” Session II., No. 2, having examined the accounts of the Provincial Treasurer for the year ending 30th September, 1857, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts amount to £18,982 0s. 1d., and the Expenditure to £16,880 6s. 10d., and that there then remained in his hands a Balance of £2,101 13s. 3d.
