Dunedin, 15th July 1857.—WE, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the “Board of Audit Ordinance,” Session II. No. 2, having examined the Provincial Treasurer’s Accounts for the three months ending 30th June 1857, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts (including the balance from the previous Quarter) amount to £6998 12s., and the Expenditure to £3762 8s. 11d., and that there then remained in his hands a balance of £3236 3s. 1d.

By His Excellency Colonel Thomas Gore Browne, Companion of the most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act made and enacted in the Parliament held in the 15th and 16th years of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,” it is amongst other things enacted that whenever any Bill shall have been assented to by the Superintendent as in the said recited Act provided, the Superintendent shall forthwith transmit to the Governor an authentic copy thereof, and it shall be
