DUNEDIN TOWN BOARD.
ELECTION OF TWO PERSONS MEMBERS OF THE TOWN BOARD.
IN pursuance of the “Dunedin Town Board Ordinance,” Sess. 11, No. 12, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint the Electors entitled to vote for Members for the Town of Dunedin, in the Provincial Council of Otago, to assemble upon Thursday, the 6th day of August, 1857, at 12 o’clock, noon, within the Hall of the Mechanics’ Institution, Princes-street, Dunedin, for the purpose of Electing two Persons to be members of the said Town Board, in room of James Macandrew, Esq., and John Jones, Esq., who have resigned their seats as members of said Board.
And further, in pursuance of said Ordinance, I hereby appoint Alfred Chetham Strode, Esq., of Dunedin, R.M., to preside at said Meeting; and, in the event of a poll being demanded, I hereby appoint the Polling to take place in the said Hall of the Mechanics’ Institution, on Friday, the 7th day of the said month of August, 1857.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint the following gentlemen, viz.:
- Charles Logie, Esquire, J.P.
- William Purdie, Esquire, M.D.
to be Commissioners of the Waste Land Board, vice John Cargill, Esq., resigned, and Edward Lee, Esq., who, having sailed for England, ceased to be a member of said Board.

In the matter of the Estate of Henry Lawson, of Waitaki, deceased intestate.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That His Honor, Sidney Stephen, Esquire, Chief Justice of this Honourable Court, having, on the 25th day of April instant, granted to the undersigned Letters ‘ad colligendum’ for the management and preservation of this Estate until further order of Court, all persons indebted to the Estate are required to Pay the Accounts due to the Estate; and all persons in possession of any part of the personal property of the deceased are required to give delivery thereof to the undersigned or his authorised agents forthwith under certification.
