DUNEDIN, 25th October, 1856.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the Board of Audit Ordinance, Session II., No. 2, having examined the Provincial Treasurer’s accounts for the year ending 30th September, 1856, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts amount to £7396 15s. 3d., and the Expenditure to £9180 8s. 3d., showing a balance due to the Treasurer of £1783 13s.
