Dunedin, 14th April 1856.—We, the Auditors appointed in pursuance of the Board of Audit Ordinance, Session II., No. 2, having examined the Provincial Treasurer’s Accounts for the Six Months ending 31st March, 1856, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts amount to £5,057 6s. 3d., and the Expenditure to £4,150 4s. 6d., and that there then remained in his hands a Balance of £907 1s. 9d.
