TENDERS in Duplicate will be received at this Office on or before the 30th day of November 1855, from persons willing to supply the Provincial Government with
Firewood
for the year ending 30th Sept. 1856.
Tenders to state the price per cord of Manuka and good, mixed wood, respectively, piled up at the places where the same is at present piled at this Office, and at the Gaol, Dunedin.

Taieri Ferry.
WHEREAS it has been arranged that the Taieri Ferry is to be made Public Property, and served under Regulations of the Provincial Government at such Rates of Charge as will suffice to cover the expense: And whereas it has been proved that the Rates heretofore charged have not sufficed for the remuneration of Mr. Harrold and his Assistant, in working it on their own account as a private property; the following Rates are hereby authorised, with the consent of Mr. Harrold, to be charged from the date hereof,—Mr. Harrold to keep an account of all receipts from the present date, for the information of the Government.
RATES OF CHARGE.
For each Person ... 1s.
For each Horse ... 2s.
For each Head of Cattle ... 2s.
For Sheep, each ... 3d.
Do., if above 100, each ... 2d.
Goods, per cwt. ... 1s.
For each Parcel ... 3d.
