Dunedin, 25th June 1855.

I HEREBY NOTIFY that the parties undernamed are authorised to require exhibition of Registration Tickets, and to sue for Penalties, under the Dog Nuisance Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Otago, Session II., No. 7, viz.:

— Mr. John Shepherd, Chief Constable, Dunedin.
— Mr. John Barr, jun., Constable, Dunedin.
— Mr. George Warren, Constable, Port Chalmers.

REGISTRATION OF DOGS.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That on and after the 1st day of July next, any person maintaining or having in his following any Unregistered Dog or Dogs, shall be liable in a penalty of not less than Twenty Shillings, nor more than Five Pounds, for every Dog or Dogs so Unregistered, over and above the Registration Fee.

The Officers of the Constabulary Force are now instructed to require exhibition of Registration Tickets, and Parties refusing to exhibit such Tickets shall be liable in a penalty not exceeding £5.

I, Henry St. Hill, Manager of the said Bank, do hereby certify that the above is a true account of the Notes in circulation, and of the Coins held by the said office, as required under Ordinances No. 16, Session VIII., and No. 14, Session XI.

The sum of Twenty-five Thousand Pounds (£25,000) sterling has been invested, under the Warrant of His Excellency the Governor, in the public funds in England, through the Commissariat Department, by arrangements made through the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty’s Treasury.—H. St. H.
