Notice of Direction to Appoint a Commissioner for the Aparima College (409) Board of Trustees

Acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Education, under section 78N(1) of the Education Act 1989, I confirm the dissolution of the Aparima College (409) Board of Trustees and, due to increased risk, direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a commissioner.

This notice takes effect on the date of publication.

Notification of Entry into Force of Marine Protection Rule

Marine Protection Rules Part 300: Ballast Water Management 2015 was made by the Honourable Craig Foss, Associate Minister of Transport, on 1 March 2016.

The rule was notified in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 March 2016, Issue No. 25, Notice No. 2016-au1584, with commencement of the rule suspended until the rule is applied by further notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

In accordance with section 451(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, I hereby give notice that Marine Protection Rules Part 300: Ballast Water Management 2015 enters into force on 8 September 2017.

Rules are available for inspection free of charge, or for purchase at a cost, from Maritime New Zealand, Level 11, 1 Grey Street, Wellington, or on the Maritime New Zealand website: www.maritimenz.govt.nz/rules.
