Notice of Extension of Local Transition Period

Pursuant to section 940 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Anthony Andre Bonne, extend the local transition period over Whakatane District owing to the flooding and widespread damage as a result of the extreme rainfall event generated by tropical storm Debbie.

This extension of the transition period:

a. comes into force immediately before 12.00pm on 11 August 2017, which is when the current transition period ends;
b. is in force for 28 days; and
c. ends at 12.00pm on 8 September 2017, unless terminated or further extended earlier.

Pursuant to section 164 of the Animal Products Act 1999, notice is given of the issue on 18 August 2017 of the Animal Products Notice: Regulated Control Scheme – Monitoring of Specified Substances in Bee Products for Export, which comes into force on 1 September 2017.
