NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 83 — 17 AUGUST 2017

Amendment to the Alternative Constitution for the Ngamatapouri School (2407) Board of Trustees

Pursuant to section 98A(1) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice of alternative constitution for the Ngamatapouri School (2407) Board of Trustees (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 16 March 2006, No. 25, page 669) by replacing the constitution for the Board of Trustees with the following:

“The alternative constitution for the Ngamatapouri School Board of Trustees shall be:

  • The Principal;
  • up to two trustees appointed by the Minister of Education; and
  • up to two trustees co-opted by the board.

The appointment or co-option of a trustee may be for a term not exceeding three years.

Changes to the constitution of the board will be subject to the approval of the Minister of Education and must be notified in the New Zealand Gazette.”

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Amendment to Declaration Notice—Declaration That No New Permits Shall Be Granted—Northland

Pursuant to Regulation 15 of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, and pursuant to an instrument of delegation dated 9 September 2015 from the Director-General of Conservation, I, Carl McGuiness, Acting Deputy Director-General, Operations, Department of Conservation, hereby amend the declaration notice titled “Declaration That No New Permits Shall Be Granted—Northland”, dated 21 June 2016 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 July 2016, Issue No. 61, No. 2016-go3802, by inserting in it a new paragraph after paragraph c.:

“d. any application to film, record or photograph marine mammals, where there is no paying passenger.”

Endeavour Fund

Notice to the Science Board

  1. In this notice, I:

    a. specify that the Science Board is to make funding decisions on proposals for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) Endeavour Fund under section 10(3)(b) of the Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010 (“RS&T Act 2010”); and
    b. set the criteria for the eligibility and assessment of proposals for the Endeavour Fund under section 8(1) of the RS&T Act 2010.

General Policy Objectives

  1. The general policy objectives of the Endeavour Fund are to:

    a. support research, science or technology or related activities that have high potential to positively transform New Zealand’s future economic performance, the sustainability and integrity of our environment, help strengthen our society, and give effect to the Vision Mātauranga policy; and
