Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting, on 9 January 2017, of the following exemptions:
- From Maritime Rules Parts 19.3, 19.41, 19.42, 19.43, 19.45, 19.46, 19.62 – All the Maritime Transport Operator Safety System requirements.
- From Maritime Rule Part 31.80 – All the manning and minimum qualifications requirements.
- From Maritime Rules Parts 40A.3 and 40C.3 – All the design and construction survey requirements (as applicable).
