Notice of Extension of Local Transition Period
Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Judith Anne Turner, extend the local transition period over Whakatāne District owing to the flooding and widespread damage as a result of the extreme rainfall event generated by tropical storm Debbie.
This extension of the transition period:
a. comes into force immediately before 12.00pm on 14 July 2017 which is when the current transition period ends;
b. is in force for 28 days; and
c. ends at 12.00pm on 11 August 2017, unless terminated or further extended earlier.
