Notice of Final Determinations on Altering and Assigning Official Antarctic Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 10(1), 25 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 (NZGB Act 2008), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of altering existing and assigning new Antarctic geographic names. The altered and new official Antarctic geographic names are specified in the two Schedules below.

The last column in each Schedule has the reconfirmed, new or improved positions for the official names.

The Board’s final determinations on these official Antarctic geographic names took effect on 22 June 2017.
