TSB Community Trust Proposal to Adjust the Trust Boundary
Following the amendment of the Community Trusts Act 1999 (“Act”) in December 2016, the purpose of this notice is to notify the public, pursuant to section 16A of the Act, that the Trustees of TSB Community Trust (“Trust”) intend to submit a scheme to the Minister of Finance to adjust the boundaries of the Trust.
The scheme will propose adjusting the southern boundaries of the Trust and the boundaries of the Whanganui Community Foundation (WCF) such that the boundaries of the Trust will align with the boundary of the South Taranaki District Council, as designated in the Local Government (Taranaki Region) Reorganisation Order 1989.
Any change is subject to consultation and an asset transfer to be finalised post each entity’s respective consultation process. An amendment to the Trust Deed of the Trust will be required to give effect to the proposed adjustment.
The Trust has previously consulted on this proposed scheme from December 2011 to April 2012, in order to propose a change to legislation. The previous consultation reports are available at www.tsbtrust.org.nz or on request from the Trust.
We invite persons residing within the legislative area of the Trust to make written submissions regarding the proposed boundary adjustment to the Trustees of the Trust. Submissions must be received by the Trust no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 12 July 2017.
