Notice of Issue of Acceptable Solutions F9/AS1 and F9/AS2 and Revocation of the Acceptable Solution Issued by Section 450A of the Building Act 2004
Pursuant to section 22(1) of the Building Act 2004 ("Act"), I give notice that two Acceptable Solutions for Building Code Clause F9 have been issued (F9/AS1 and F9/AS2).
F9/AS1 and F9/AS2 come into force on 27 April 2017 and are available for download free of charge from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s website: www.building.govt.nz/building-code-compliance.
Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Act, I give notice that the acceptable solution issued by section 450A of the Act, which comprises clauses 1–10 of the Schedule of the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, is revoked and will cease to have legal effect at the close of 27 April 2017.
New Material Incorporated by Reference
Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the following materials are to be incorporated by reference into Acceptable Solution F9/AS1 on 27 April 2017:
- NZS 8500:2006 Safety barriers and fences around swimming pools, spas and hot tubs.
- Acceptable Solution F4/AS1 Safety from Falling, 3rd Edition, Amendment 1.
- Acceptable Solution F8/AS1 Signs, 2nd Edition, Amendment 3.
Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the following materials are to be incorporated by reference into Acceptable Solution F9/AS2 on 27 April 2017:
- Acceptable Solution F8/AS1 Signs, 2nd Edition, Amendment 3.
Purchase of Materials Incorporated by Reference
NZS 8500:2006 that is incorporated by reference may be purchased directly from Standards New Zealand, MBIE, 15 Stout Street, Wellington 6011, or online at www.standards.govt.nz.
Acceptable Solutions that are incorporated by reference are available for download free of charge from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s website: www.building.govt.nz/building-code-compliance.
Viewing Materials Incorporated by Reference
Materials incorporated by reference are available for inspection free of charge at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment office, 15 Stout Street, Wellington 6011, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Notice of Local Transition Period
Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 ("Act"), I, Anthony Andre Bonne, give notice of a local transition period over Whakatāne District owing to the flooding and widespread damage as a result of the extreme rainfall event generated by tropical storm Debbie.
This local transition period:
a. comes into force at 12:00pm on Friday 21 April 2017, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 12.00pm on 14 April 2017 for Whakatāne District expires;
b. is in force for 28 days; and
c. ends at 12.00pm on 19 May 2017, unless extended or terminated earlier.
