Electricity Industry (Exemption No. 258 (Trustpower Limited)) Exemption Notice 2017
In accordance with section 11 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 ("Act"), the Electricity Authority gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Electricity Industry (Exemption No. 258 (Trustpower Limited)) Exemption Notice 2017.
(2) This notice comes into force on 1 May 2017.
- Exemption—(1) Trustpower Limited ("Trustpower") is exempted from complying with the unmetered load obligations in clause 10.14 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010.
(2) This exemption applies only to the installation control point 0001177008ML889.

Term—This exemption expires on 10 May 2017.

Reasons for granting the exemption—The reasons for granting this exemption are:
a. installing metering will increase cost and the time required for the project for little benefit;
b. Trustpower will use an accurate methodology to quantify information and provide it into the reconciliation process;
c. there will be little or no impact to other participants or service providers; and
d. granting the requested exemption meets the requirements in section 11(2) of the Act.

Declaration of State of Local Emergency
Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Mayor Anthony Andre Bonne, declare that a state of local emergency exists in the Whakatāne District owing to flooding in the Rangitaiki and Whakatāne/Tauranga Rivers.
The state of local emergency comes into force immediately on the making of this declaration, and expires seven days after the time and date on which it comes into force (unless extended or terminated at an earlier time).

Designation: Mayor, Whakatane District.
Time and Date of Declaration: 8.45am on 6 April 2017.
Notice of Tauranga Social Housing Transfer Transaction
Pursuant to section 50L of the Housing Corporation Act 1974 ("HCA"), we, the Honourable Steven Leonard Joyce (Minister of Finance) and the Honourable Amy Juliet Adams (Minister of Housing for the purposes of the HCA), acting jointly ("Ministers"), give notice that the Tauranga Social Housing Transfer Transaction reached financial close and was settled on 31 March 2017.
In reaching settlement, the following transfer contracts became unconditional on 31 March 2017:
