- Competencies required for the continuation of a certificate of competence to which the savings provision appliesβThe principal notice is amended by inserting the following clause after the clause entitled "Certificate of competence as an electrical superintendent":
"Competencies required for the continuation of a certificate of competence to which the savings provision applies
-
The holder of a certificate of competence as an A-grade quarry manager to which the savings provision applies must:
a. have passed the unit standards set out in Group E of Appendix 2; and
b. hold a first aid certificate. -
The holder of a certificate of competence as a B-grade quarry manager to which the savings provision applies must:
a. have passed the unit standard set out in Group F of Appendix 2; and
b. hold a first aid certificate. -
The holder of a certificate of competence as a manager to manage the quarrying operation specified in the certificate to which the savings provision applies must:
a. have passed the unit standard set out in Group F of Appendix 2; and
b. hold a first aid certificate."

Approval of Brake Testing Device
Pursuant to subclause 10.6(1) of the Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006 ("Rule"), and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the NZ Transport Agency, I, Bruce Hamilton Currie, Senior Engineer Heavy Vehicles, hereby approve the brake testing device specified in the Schedule to this notice for the purpose of measuring brake forces of heavy vehicles to establish compliance with the requirements for heavy-vehicle brakes contained in the Rule.
