Notice of Payment into Victims’ Claims Trust Account

Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2 of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005, compensation awarded to Michael Marino is required to be paid to the Secretary for Justice and the surplus after deductions is to be held in trust on behalf of Michael Marino.

And that, on 26 September 2017, $50,000.00 was paid into the victims’ claims trust account on behalf of Michael Marino.

This money must be held in the trust account to enable any victims of Michael Marino to make claims against it.

Any person that has been a victim of Michael Marino, in respect of an offence for which Michael Marino was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the trust account on behalf of Michael Marino.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the trust account.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Shirley Intermediate School (3503) Board of Trustees

Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, acting under delegated authority, I revoke the notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Shirley Intermediate School (3503) Board of Trustees (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 September 2015, Issue No. 102, Notice No. 2015-go5568).

This notice takes effect on the date of publication.
