Notice of Vacancy in Seat in House of Representatives

Pursuant to section 129(1) of the Electoral Act 1993, I, David Cunningham Carter, Speaker of the House of Representatives, give notice that David James Shearer has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives for the Mt Albert Electoral District with effect at midnight on Saturday, 31 December 2016, and that the seat is vacant by reason of that resignation.
