Pursuant to sections 116(1), 117(1) and 118(1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand, declares the road described in the Schedule hereto to be stopped and declares the estate in fee simple of the said land to be vested as an esplanade reserve in the New Plymouth District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Setting Apart Māori Land as a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338(1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place, place for beneficiaries to stay and occupy, recreation ground, place of cultural, historical, or scenic interest and anything incidental or related to these purposes, provided that the use of the land is in accordance with all local and statutory authority requirements for the common use and benefit of Patrick Hutana and Rauhine Ann Ross (also known as Ruahine Hutana) and their respective descendants.
