Pursuant to clause 9(2) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, and acting with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby extend the period for closing the poll and all subsequent actions in accordance with the Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000, for the election of staff representative(s) for:

The elections must be held by 7 October 2016.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Appointment of District Court Judge

Pursuant to sections 5 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, has been pleased to appoint

Anthony John Sturges Snell, acting District Court Judge

to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials, commencing on 18 August 2016.
