Approval of Pipfruit New Zealand Incorporated as the Organisation Representing the Nashi Sector for the Purposes of the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) Under Part 5A of the Biosecurity Act 1993 (Notice No. MPI 650)

Pursuant to section 100ZA(2) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 (“Act”), the Minister for Primary Industries gives notice that he is satisfied that Pipfruit New Zealand Incorporated meets the criteria in sections 100ZA(3), (4), (6), (7) and (9) of the Act, and Pipfruit New Zealand Incorporated represents the nashi sector for the purposes of GIA under Part 5A of the Act.

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to sections 10 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Soana Moala, barrister and solicitor of Manukau

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 2 September 2016 and expiring on 28 March 2019.

The medicines listed in Schedule 3 to this notice are classified as pharmacy-only medicines.

Every reference to a medicine in this notice applies whether the medicine is synthetic in origin or is from biological or mineral sources.

Unless specific reference is made otherwise, every reference applies also to medicines that are:

a. preparations and admixtures containing any proportion of any substance listed in the notice.

b. salts and esters of any substance listed in the notice.

c. preparations or extracts of biological materials listed in the notice.
