Notice of Revocation of Approved Code of Practice for Safety in Excavation and Shafts for Foundations

In accordance with section 223 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, WorkSafe New Zealand ("WorkSafe") gives notice that the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety has revoked the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) for Safety in Excavation and Shafts for Foundations.

This revocation will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice.

The ACOP has been superseded by the Excavation Safety good practice guidelines, available on WorkSafe’s website

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice for Emergency Preparedness in Mining and Tunnelling Operations and Amendment of Approved Code of Practice for Fire or Explosion in Underground Mines and Tunnels

In accordance with section 223 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, WorkSafe New Zealand ("WorkSafe") gives notice that the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety has approved the code of practice for Emergency Preparedness in Mining and Tunnelling Operations.

The Minister has also approved amendments to the approved code of practice for Fire or Explosion in Underground Mines and Tunnels.

The new and amended approved codes of practice will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice and will be available on WorkSafe’s website

www.worksafe.govt.nz

The new and amended approved codes of practice will be available for purchase in hard copy, for a reasonable charge, and for inspection at WorkSafe’s offices at Level 6, Customhouse Quay, Wellington 6011.
