Notice of Exemption From Maritime Rules: 19.63(1)(a); 31.42(c); 31.44(b), Table 6; 40C, Appendix 1, 1.4; 40D.11(1); 45.27(1)(a); 46.17(1)(a)
Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting, during the period from 1 April 2016 to 29 April 2016, of the following exemptions:

1 from Maritime Rule 19.63(1)(a) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Survey requirements – Surveyor completes surveys between 24 months and 36 months from the date on which the Certificate of Survey was issued, and within six months prior to the expiry date of the Certificate of Survey

1 from Maritime Rule 31.42(c) – Crewing and Watchkeeping – SOLAS and STCW ships – Minimum watchkeeping and special crewing requirements – Ships operating within coastal and offshore limits

1 from Maritime Rule 31.44(b), Table 6 – Crewing and Watchkeeping – SOLAS and STCW ships – Coastal and offshore limits – Ships operating beyond restricted limits but within coastal limits or offshore limits must carry at least engine room watchkeepers specified in Table 6
