Declaration of Electricity Operators (Beachlands Networks Limited and Pioneer Energy Limited) Notice 2016

Pursuant to sections 4 and 4A of the Electricity Act 1992 ("Act"), I hereby declare

Beachlands Networks Limited

to be an electricity operator for the purposes of section 24 of the Act; and

Pioneer Energy Limited

to be an electricity operator for the purposes of the Act, including for the purposes of line function services.

Explanatory note

This note is for explanatory purposes only.

This notice declares an electricity distributor (Beachlands Networks Limited) and an electricity generator (Pioneer Energy Limited) to be electricity operators under the Act.

Beachlands Networks Limited is declared an operator only for the purposes of section 24 of the Act, which gives it rights to construct and maintain electricity works on roads. Pioneer Energy Limited is declared an electricity operator for all purposes of the Act, including for the purposes of lines functions, which gives it rights that include constructing and maintaining electricity works on roads and access rights in respect of level crossings.
