Notice of Intention to Incorporate Material by Reference – Transitional Facility Standards (Notice No. MPI 589)

I, Peter Thomson, Director Plants, Food and Environment of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), acting on behalf of the Director-General of MPI, give notice under section 142N(4) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 ("Act") that, under section 142M of the Act, some or all of the following material, in whole or in part, is proposed for incorporation by reference in one or more Transitional Facility Standards developed under section 39 of the Act:

Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 2243.3.2010 Safety in laboratories Part 3: Microbiological safety and containment

The following address is:

a. where comments on this proposal to incorporate material by reference are to be sent; and

b. where the material incorporated can be viewed free of charge:

Any written comment must be received by the Ministry for Primary Industries no later than 10 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Consultation on this proposal to incorporate material by reference is in addition to the usual process of consultation on draft transitional facility standards under section 39 of the Act.

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. MPI 591)

Maree Zinzley, Manager Approvals Operations of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), acting under delegated authority from the Director-General of MPI, gives notice, under section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 ("Act"), that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Trade Name: Amodip Flavoured Tablets for Cats

Reference: A011295

Active Ingredient and Concentration:
Amlodipine (as amlodipine besylate) 1.25mg

Formulation Type: Tablet/pellet

General Use Claim:
For the treatment of arterial hypertension in cats.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.

Under sections 16 and 17 of the Act, a written submission:

a. must state in full the reasons for making the submission; and

b. may state any decision sought on that application; and

c. must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Under section 18 of the Act, a copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for the applicant’s information.
