NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 5 — 21 JANUARY 2016
("Regulations"), I, Gordon MacDonald, grant to Reid & Lecourtois (trading as Raglan Kayak & SUP) an exemption from the requirement in Regulation 7(1)(a) of the Regulations (that an adventure activity operator must not provide an adventure activity to a participant unless, when the activity is provided, the operator is registered to provide it).
This exemption applies on and from 23 December 2015 until 5.00pm on 17 February 2016, unless cancelled earlier under Regulation 21(5) of the Regulations.
The effect of the exemption is that the exempt adventure activity operators may provide adventure activities to participants without being registered to provide them under the Regulations.

CUSTOMS (ADVANCE NOTICE OF DEPARTURE) AMENDMENT RULES 2016
Pursuant to sections 288(1)(a) and 288(12) of the Customs and Excise Act 1996, the chief executive hereby makes the following amendments to the Customs (Advance Notice of Departure) Rules 2014.
RULES
- Title and Commencement
(1) These rules are the Customs (Advance Notice of Departure) Amendment Rules 2016.
(2) These rules shall come into force on 18 February 2016.
- Interpretation
In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) The term "the Act" means the Customs and Excise Act 1996.
(b) Any terms used in these rules which are defined in section 2 of the Act shall have the meanings given to them by that section.
(c) The term "the principal rules" means the Customs (Advance Notice of Departure) Rules 2014 (CR 1AD/2014).
- Principal Rules Amended
(1) Form C2B in the Schedule of the principal rules is hereby revoked and substituted with the form set out in the Schedule to these rules.
- Rules to Continue in Force
Except to the extent amended by these rules, the principal rules remain in force.
