Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice 2016 (Notice No. MPI 617)

Pursuant to section 188 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries, after complying with the requirements of that section, gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice 2016 and is part of the principal notice.

(2) In this notice, “principal notice” means the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2014 (Notice No. MPI 392), published in a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 26 September 2014, No. 115, page 3249.

  1. Commencement—This notice comes into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Amendments—(1) Clause 4 of the principal notice is amended by inserting “hake,” before “hoki” in the interpretation of “minced, skin-off fillets”.

(2) Part 2 of Schedule 2 of the principal notice is amended by omitting clause 11 and substituting the following clause:

  1. Hake

The conversion factor for skin-off trimmed fillets for hake is 2.75 and the conversion factor for minced, skin-off fillets for hake is 2.85.
