Amending a Notice—Limit Line Pavement Markers Trial

Pursuant to subclause 3.4(1) of the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 and a delegation from the NZ Transport Agency, I, Glenn Bunting, Network Manager, make the following amendments to the notice titled Limit Line Pavement Markers Trial published in the New Zealand Gazette, 30 July 2015, Issue No. 83, Notice No. 2015-au4434:

  1. Delete Schedule 3–Location and replace it with the following Schedule:

“Schedule 3–Location

The locations approved for this trial are:

a. the intersection of Remuera Road, Clonbern Road and Victoria Avenue, Auckland; and

b. the pedestrian traffic signals on Fanshawe Street near Daldy Street, Auckland.”

  1. In Schedule 4–Period of trial, replace the date on which the trial must end with: “31 May 2017”.

  2. In Schedule 5–Conditions and evaluation, replace the date on which the final report is due with: “30 June 2017”.

Explanatory note

The pedestrian traffic signals on Fanshawe Street near Daldy Street have been added to the locations approved for this trial and the period of the trial and date on which the final report is due have been extended to allow a reasonable time to evaluate the effectiveness of the limit line pavement markers at the new location.

Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi Constitution Notice 2016

Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989 (“Act”), the Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi Constitution Notice 2016.

Preamble

The 2003 Deed of Settlement (“deed”) between Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi and the Crown acknowledged and recorded the development of a partnership agreement setting out the principles to guide that relationship. The intention of the deed is to enhance the mutual commitment of a constructive future relationship between Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi and the Crown, in terms of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. It is on this basis that the constitution of the Council of Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi (“Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi”) has been agreed.

Constitution

  1. Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi shall be composed of up to a total of 12 members, consisting of:

a. four members appointed by the Minister; and

b. eight members appointed by Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi in accordance with its statutes established under section 171C of the Act.

a. Subject to clause 2(b), and in accordance with clause 1 of this notice and sections 171D and 173 of the Act, appointments to Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi shall be for not less than one year and not more than four years. The number of occasions on which a person may be appointed as a member of Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi is the number that, for that person, ensures that the total period for which they are a member does not exceed 16 years.

b. Any person who is a member of Te Mana Whakahaere o Awanuiārangi at the date of this notice may be
