BRANCEPETH PRESERVATION TRUST.

The purpose of the application is to:

a. vary the purpose of the trust to allow for public access to Brancepeth and for the education of the public;

b. update the trust deed to express the powers and responsibilities of the trustees in a more modern, and clearer, form; and

c. facilitate the administration of the trust by allowing the trust to enter into a suite of agreements with the Beetham family (including leasing the farmland and selling the livestock to the Beetham family at market rates) which will allow the trustees to focus on the trust’s administration.

Further particulars of the application may be obtained from the office of the applicants’ solicitors, Buddle Findlay, at the address for service below.

The BRANCEPETH PRESERVATION TRUST’s scheme and the Attorney-General’s report are also available for inspection free of charge at the Wellington High Court.

Any person desiring to oppose the scheme must give written notice of his or her intention to do so to:

a. the Registrar of the High Court at Wellington;

b. the applicants at the address for service below; and

c. the Attorney-General at the Crown Law Office, PO Box 2858, Wellington

not less than seven clear days before the matter is due to be heard.
