b. efficient and low-emissions transport; and
c. innovative and efficient use of electricity.

Contributing to this goal are four objectives, one each for businesses, individuals and public sector agencies, and one for all market participants.

The draft replacement strategy includes an industrial emissions intensity target and an electric vehicles target. Contributing to these targets are the actions outlined in the draft strategy, ranging from existing government programmes to new actions, such as the development of a Process Heat Action Plan.

Appointments / reappointment to the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority

Pursuant to section 28(1)(a) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, the Minister of Energy and Resources has appointed

Catherine Taylor
as a member and Deputy Chair (pursuant to clause 1(1) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004) for a term of three years; and appointed

Karen Sherry
as a member for a term of three years; and reappointed

David Coull
as a member for a term of three years,

to the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority Board, as established under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority Act 2000.

All appointments take effect on 1 February 2017.
