Approval of Potatoes New Zealand Incorporated as the Organisation Representing New Zealand’s Commercial Potato Sector for the Purposes of Part 5A of the Biosecurity Act 1993 (Notice No. MPI 554A)
Pursuant to section 100ZA(2) of the Biosecurity Act 1993, the Minister for Primary Industries gives notice that he is satisfied that Potatoes New Zealand Incorporated meets the criteria in subsections (3), (4), (6), (7) and (9), and Potatoes New Zealand Incorporated represents New Zealand’s commercial potato sector for the purposes of Part 5A of the Biosecurity Act 1993.

Declaration of State of Local Emergency
Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, David Charles Cull, declare that a state of local emergency exists in Dunedin City owing to an imminent tsunami warning following a 7.5 earthquake on the East Coast of the South Island.
The state of local emergency comes into force immediately on the making of this declaration, and expires seven days after the time and date on which it comes into force (unless extended or terminated at an earlier time).
