NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 10 β€” 4 FEBRUARY 2016

Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice that, with effect from 5 February 2016:

  1. Parts of State Highways 1 and 5, described in the First Schedule, are revoked; and
  2. the section of new road, described in the Second Schedule, is declared to be State Highway 1.

First Schedule

i. Part of State Highway 1, commencing at the splitter island on the westbound exit of the roundabout at the Wairakei junction with State Highway 5 at RP 695/0.00 and extending in a generally southerly direction to just north of the newly constructed roundabout at the intersection with Anzac Memorial Drive at RP 706/4.15. The length of State Highway 1 to be revoked is 15.17km.

ii. Part of State Highway 5, commencing at the intersection of State Highway 1 at RP 135/0.00 and extending in a generally easterly direction to the new roundabout on the East Taupo Arterial at RP 135/2.23. The length of State Highway 5 to be revoked is 2.23km.

Second Schedule

The East Taupo Arterial commencing at the southern exit of the newly constructed roundabout at the intersection with State Highway 5 at RP 695/0.00 and ending approximately 200m south of the old intersection with Anzac Memorial Drive at RP 706/4.41. The length of road to be declared is 15.35km.

Revoking Sections of State Highway 1N and State Highway 1B and Declaring a Section of State Highway 1N, Waikato and Waipa

Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice, with effect from 5 February 2016, that:

  1. Parts of State Highway 1N and State Highway 1B, described in the First Schedule, are revoked; and
  2. the section of new road, described in the Second Schedule, is declared to be State Highway 1N.

First Schedule

a. Part of State Highway 1N, commencing on State Highway 1N, approximately 70m south of Airport Road at old RP 557/3.55 extending in a general south-easterly direction to end approximately 70m north of Pencarrow Road at old RP 557/6.96. The length of road to be revoked is 3.41km.

b. Part of State Highway 1N commencing at the north-western boundary of Duncan Road at old RP 557/8.22 extending in a general south-easterly direction to end approximately 0.65km from Duncan Road at old RP 557/8.88. The length of road to be revoked is 0.66km.

c. Part of State Highway 1N, commencing on State Highway 1N, approximately 0.44km north-west of Banks Road at old RP 557/10.04 extending in a general south-easterly direction through Cambridge township to end at a point approximately 1.91km east of Shakespeare Street at old RP 574/1.89. The length of road to be revoked is 9.53km.

d. Part of State Highway 1B, commencing approximately 0.93km south of the intersection of Hautapu Road at RP 30/13.56 and extending in a general southerly direction to the Hamilton Road intersection in Cambridge, at RP 30/15.85. The length of road to be revoked is 2.29km.

Second Schedule

Part of State Highway 1N in Waikato, commencing approximately 0.56km north of Airport Road at new RP 557/2.88 extending in a general south-easterly direction to finish at a point 1.72km north-west of Hickey Road at the new RP 574/3.00. The length of road to be declared is 17.45km.
