Acting District Court Judges Appointed
Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
Allan Christopher Roberts, retiring District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years commencing on 30 January 2016; and appoint
Sharon Elizabeth Couper McAuslan, retired District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years commencing on 4 April 2016.

Amending a Notice—Appointment of Directors of Area Mental Health Services
Pursuant to section 92 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, I, Chai Chuah, Director-General of Health, issue the following notice, effective from 1 February 2016.

This notice shall be read together with the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act Notice 2013 – Appointment of Directors of Area Mental Health Services (“principal notice”) (New Zealand Gazette, 17 October 2013, No. 143, page 3909).

Schedule 1 to the principal notice is amended in respect of the West Coast District Health Board by omitting the name and title
"Dr Alfred Dell’Ario, psychiatrist, of Christchurch"
and substituting the name and title
"Dr Cameron Lacey, psychiatrist, of Christchurch".
