Notice of Intention to Take an Existing Licence Interest—Huntly Section of the Waikato Expressway, Waikato District

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Land Information proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the existing licence interest as recorded in Computer Interest Register SA47A/756 (“licence interest”) in the land described in the Schedules hereto (“land”).

The licence interest in the land is required for the Huntly Section of the Waikato Expressway.

More particularly, the licence interest in the land described in the First Schedule is required for road; the licence interest in the land described in the Second Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road (segregation strip) to prevent legal access to the expressway once constructed; and the licence interest in the land described in the Third Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road, of which part will vest in the Crown for road, part will vest in the Crown for segregation strip to prevent legal access to the Expressway once constructed and part may vest in the Waikato District Council as road.

The Waikato Expressway will provide a continuous four-lane carriageway between the Bombay Hills and south of Cambridge.
