(3) In paragraph 2(1)(i) of Schedule 1, replace "listed in subclause (3)" with "listed in subclause (2)".

(4) Repeal subclause 2(2) of Schedule 1.

(5) Renumber subclause 2(3) of Schedule 1 as subclause 2(2).

  1. Clause 1 of Schedule 4 amended

In subclause 1(1) of Schedule 4 replace "the registered bank and its banking group" with "the registered bank’s banking group".

  1. Clause 2 of Schedule 4 amended

In subclause 2(1) of Schedule 4 replace "the registered bank and its banking group" with "the registered bank’s banking group".

  1. Clause 3 of Schedule 4 amended

In subclause 3(1) of Schedule 4 replace "the registered bank and its banking group" with "the registered bank’s banking group".

  1. Clause 4 of Schedule 4 amended

In subclause 4(1) of Schedule 4 after "financial assets" insert "in respect of the registered bank’s banking group".

  1. Clause 1 of Schedule 7 amended

In paragraph 1(1)(a) of Schedule 7 replace "the registered bank and its banking group" with "the registered bank’s banking group".

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order comes into force on 30 September 2015. It amends the Registered Bank Disclosure Statements (New Zealand Incorporated Registered Banks) Order 2014, published in a Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 21 February 2014, No. 21, page 452. The purpose of this order is to update disclosure requirements for New Zealand-incorporated registered banks. It removes the requirement for a bank’s full year disclosure statement to include the financial statements of the bank on a stand-alone basis (unless the registered bank is the only entity in its financial reporting group). The order also removes superseded references to the Financial Reporting Act 1993.
